The Mechatronics Research Center aims to systematically conduct basic and applied research related to factory automation and systems based on industry-academia collaboration. The center seeks to develop new technologies, transfer production technologies to industries, and provide re-education for industrial personnel. Through these endeavors, the center aims to enhance the international competitiveness of manufacturing companies and achieve industry-academia cooperation. Specifically, the primary research areas conducted at the Center include: 1. Research and development of technologies related to design automation, assembly automation, and processing automation, 2. Design and research of real-time automatic inspection systems, 3. Research and development of foundational and applied technologies related to logistics automation, such as automated storage and AVG, 4. Development of various automated unit devices and systems, 5. Design and research development of intelligent control systems, 6. Design and research development of integrated production systems and order management systems, 7. Design and research development of office automation systems, 8. Development of foundational technologies related to information and communication, 9. Shared use of research personnel and equipment between industry and academia, 10. Training of experts in advanced electrical, electronic, and mechanical technologies, and re-education of industrial research and technical personnel. Beyond these, the center is also conducting a wide range of research and projects. The Research Center is dedicated to contributing to industrial advancement through industry-academia collaborative research to secure essential original technologies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It is striving to achieve the cultivation of integrated core talents through world-class research.
